Disobedience to OBdeience

Humanity is constantly following the rules, and continues to be obedient workers that they should be. Following the rules and never stepping out of line is the prevailing rule that one must follow. Even with corruption standing face-to-face with humanity, one does not even dare to glance up and question authority. There have been some inquisitive minds that have tried to rebel and break free, but in the end when these people felt they had escaped, they were wiped off the face of the earth. Being obedient is not pleasurable to everyone, but to survive in this world and become successful, one must listen and follow the rules blindly to escape dangers. Living in a time of conformity and authority, where humanity depends on obedience to advance, it is impossible to escape obedience due to the fact that obedience controls the lives of humanity and prevents one from “getting outside the box”. Obedience is defined as the quality of complying with the commands, orders, or instructions of one in authority. Obedience is a great force that has engulfed humanity with its influence, and glimpses of it can be seen everywhere. From students blindly following their teachers in the classrooms to townspeople sheepishly complying with an unjust law made by the new mayor. Obedience is used to control one another, and to maintain peace. It is successful in its purposes, yet it also has made us into mindless followers out of humanity. Another worry is that if the leaders of humanity – mayors, presidents, prime ministers, etc. are actually making the right decisions, and are not overwhelmed by the poisons of corruption. Leading an obedient society requires great responsibility and integrity. To be the one who makes laws and regulations that the rest must follow, one must maintain a good heart and keep the welfare of society in mind.
