Just One More/Narrative
One early October morning, in 1997, a young pregnant woman was involved in an automobile accident. She was rescued and transported to the emergency room by ambulance. The ambulance was escorted by two police officers. On arrival at the ER the patient was unconscious and her vital signs were below normal. The attending physician stabilized her and went to speak with the escorting officers. It was then that he discovered the patient was seven months pregnant. The officers informed the doctor that she was suspected of driving while intoxicated. The doctor then agreed to perform a blood alcohol test.
