FAILED MISSION
... Since this “dotted line” failed to do its job of separating, in 1924 the United States government decided to change the border from a “dotted line” to a “solid line,” making it more difficult for people from the two countries to interact, but as anybody can see, not impossible. ... In taking a look at the border, and its success, if someone looks at one country they will see that it is vastly influenced by the other country, meaning that the border’s mission to separate the these two countries from each other has failed. ... So, once again we see that the border failed to do its job of keeping immigrants out, and ensuring that this land is a “safe” place to live. ... So, the border doesn’t really accomplish its mission of separating these two countries and its people, it just slows down the process of people actually crossing to the other side.
