Introduction In this paper I would like to analyze the 2002 State of the Union Address of the U. ... President George W. Bush. I consider it necessary to describe the genesis of his speeches, beginning with his Inauguration Address, through the remarks made on September 11th – a date which presented a turning point of his presidency, and finally concentrate on his first State of the Union, which was actually a reaction to the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington and their consequences. On 20th January 2000, the Republican George W. Bush took a presidential oath in front of the Capitol Hill and officially became the 43rd President of the United States. In his fifteen minutes long Inauguration Speech, George W. Bush informed the Americans that his goal was the unity of the Nation. ... The path of George W. Bush to the White House was not only difficult, but also controversial. ... However, Bushs victory wasn’t decided by the recount of the votes in this American state where his brother Jeb was a governor, but by the final decision of the U. ... As was expected, George W.
