Living As An Adolescent In The Us Vs What It Might Be Like In Another Country

Adolescent In U.S. vs. Other Countries

Growing up in America as an adolescent was often very hard for me. I always wished I was someone else and could have a different life. Little did I know that children in some other countries had life much harder than I did. The hardest thing for me as an adolescent in the U.S. was the fact that the town I lived in was lower economically than the surrounding areas. I did not always have the cool clothes or coolest house or get to go on vacations like other kids. This often got me made fun of at school and this made me a very shy kid. To me this was the "hard life." I guess if I put it into perspective, my "hard life" was a "grand life" for adolescents in other countries.

There probably is not much time for these children to have fun. They probably have to work all the time to help support their families. These adolescents also run a much higher risk of dying of diseases because inoculations usually are not available or are too costly. They sometimes die of simple illnesses that would not faze us at all. Adolescents in the U.S. are also more educated on diseases such as AIDS. Even though there are many AIDS cases in the U.S., it is nothing
