The American Revolution, one of the most important events in American history, could have been avoidable, however it was not. It began with a radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments and affections of the people. One of the major factors that contributed to the cause of the revolution was the British. The British ignored the colonists and neglected their needs and also began to isolate themselves.
