History Repeated
Author Ellen Schrecker wrote the book "Many Are The Crimes." The book was useful in the links to McCarthyism and the Salem Witch Trials. The Red Scare in the 1950’s was similar to the 1692 Salem Witch Trials. The Salem Trials was dominated by Puritan beliefs in which those beliefs lead to the murders of many innocent people. The constant struggle of good verses evil results in the tragedy of the slaughter of innocent people. For example, those who accused weren’t hanged, but those who were accused were considered a witch.
