Anheuser Busch
Final Project Overview- Anheuser Busch
Anheuser-Busch Companies definitely qualifies as a diverse operation. The company is involved in several different industries, including the production of beverages (primarily alcoholic), packaging and container manufacturing, and the leisure and entertainment industry. Anheuser-Busch continues to be successful in all these endeavors. The company is the world's largest brewer, one of the largest theme park operators and manufacturers of aluminum cans in the United States, and the largest recycler of aluminum cans in the world. In the alcoholic beverage industry, Anheuser-Busch leads the US with a market share just shy of 50%. Budweiser is the nation's top-ranked beer; in addition, the company produces more than 30 different beers, including Bud Light, Michelob, and Busch. It also operates theme parks (Busch Gardens, Sea World) and water parks (Water Country USA, Adventure Island) throughout the country.
The A-B history is one of tradition and achievement. The company was founded a century and a half ago, by Eberhard Anheuser, and his son-in-law Adolphus Busch, as the Bavarian Brewery. The company became the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association in 1879, three years after the introduction of Budweiser. In 1880, with the death of Anheuser, Busch became president of the company. Over the years, the company had many significant milestones, including the first artificial refrigeration, the development and introduction of many different beverages, and the diversification of the company into different industries. Although much has changed over time, the company's beliefs in hard work and a commitment to quality have always been their foundation for success.
