Dunny
... In his novel Fifth Business, Robertson Davies suggests through his protagonist, Dunny Ramsay, that spirituality does in fact have its merit as it fills the void created by the “external” pleasures of life. Specifically, Davies notes Dunny’s exploration of religion, mysticism, and magic and concludes that such “inner pursuits” reveal messages which transcend the physical world and are therefore not only necessary for one’s growth but critical for the completion of the self.
