A Miraculous Reward
The day was bright and the sky was clear. It was indeed a perfect day to be outdoors. My excitement knew no bounds as I got off my bed. The long and eager wait for this day had finally come to an end. I just couldn't stop imagining the fun and adventure that I would be experiencing during this three-day bike trip to manakamana. Without wasting much time, I carried my gear bag that was packed since a week ago and hastily headed towards my friend's place on my new bicycle. It was not long before we both were cycling on the busy streets of the city along with our hired guide. My heart was already pounding with excitement. After a twenty-minute ride out of town to the little used country road, the air seemed fresh and clean. The hill on my left was carpeted in green and towards my left was the beautiful sight of a running river.
