theme of The law of life by Jack London

The image of the main character- old Koskoosh- in Jack London’s story “The law of life” puts deep sympathy on most of the readers. I myseft wonder if the writer wants to tell more his thoughts and feelings about life than those we can easily understand through the poor situation of Koskoosh (who used to be the chief of an Eskimo tribe;but now is left alone in the snow by his tribe and his son to face his death because he is blind and lame). The title itseft expresses the theme :all living things have to obey the law of life, the law of the natural selection.”To perpetuate was the task of life, its law was death”.”It was the law of all flesh”. ... There is also a Vietnamese proverb “Tre giaø maêng moïc” to express the law of nature. ... It is the strict and natural circulation of life,of all things because life is a struggle for existence.
