In North America there have been recent enhancements in the gambling industry, which has increased problem gambling, characteristically among young adults. In particular the relationship between impulsivity and gambling seems to be pivotal (Lightsey & Hulsey, 2002), as well as the diversity in gambling behaviour between men and women. For the purposes of this study, problem gambling is a form of gambling which plays a determining factor with interpersonal relationships causing psychical and emotional hardships. For example being dishonest with your loved ones about how much time or money is spent on gambling habits. Impulsivity is the ineptitude to control urges or impulses or to delay gratification.
