Cloning
The cloning of human beings is a very serious issue in society today. The talk about cloning heated up a few months ago when it was rumored that the first baby clone, aptly named Eve, was created. This brought about a debate, so to speak, of whether or not cloning human beings was or was not morally acceptable. ... The main opposition to human cloning comes from the Roman Catholic Church. A bishop in the Church made a comparison of cloning to a weapon of mass destruction. ... ” (A6) Basically, this figure in the church is stating that cloning is not the best choice for society, even if it is progressing technology and what we know about human beings. Cloning is still a very hot topic in society. There are ongoing battles around the world to make cloning legalized. ... (A8) With cloning becoming evidently “easy,” what is to stop these scientists from cloning anything and everything? ... One might say that cloning takes away from the uniqueness of each individual, and makes each person less special. There are possible benefits from cloning, or stem cell research. ...
