Discrimination Paper

Racial Discrimination Discrimination is and always will be a prominent issue in life. Whether it is an act of discrimination against someone due to his or her gender, age, ethnic background or sexual preference, this subject will undoubtedly never go away. In this paper, I will discuss a very important form of discrimination- racial discrimination. This paper will be limited to: (1) a brief definition of racial discrimination, (2) the history of the subject at hand and (3) the progress that racial discrimination has made since the 1960’s (based on the results of a survey). ... Racial discrimination is defined as the “unequal treatment of equals”. Racial discrimination happens when a person is treated less fairly due to their race, color, decent, national origin or ethnic background than someone of a different ‘race’ would be treated in a similar situation. There are two forms of discrimination: direct and indirect discrimination. Direct discrimination is when one person is treated less fairly than another person in the same situation or specific occasion.
