the tunnel

Run, run! I’ve got to run faster, I have got to get there! The light is fading, fading, fading. It is turning into a tiny speck of light that seems never to gain larger, only smaller, yet more piercing, brighter than ever. I’m running, running towards the light, though I never seem to gain ground only lose my breath whilst the night encloses on my body, leaving my soul to wander, although not freely. Though I am neither dead nor alive. My soul is enclosed, enslaved, trapped forever in the depths of the damp, dark, lonely tunnel.
