John Thorpe s Affect on Catherine in Northanger Abbey

Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey is the story a young naïve girl, Catherine Morland, who eventually grows into adulthood through trials and tribulations. ... Catherine clearly begins to dislike Mr. Thorpe and can clearly see that the man cannot keep his position straight.
