There has been much debate over the effectiveness of bicycle helmets, and also whether the law needs to be mandatory. This law states that all cyclists must wear helmets at all times, to help prevent head injuries, and death. It has been proven that bicycle helmets do reduce head injuries; by the way they have been designed and constructed. ... The road safety people firmly believe that the compulsory bicycle helmets laws in place are working. These mandatory laws have almost halved hospital admissions for the treatment of bicycle related injuries. There have been acknowledged cases where helmets have prevented injuries and also saved lives. ...
