Compare the opening sequences of Strangers on a train 1951 and Billy Elliot 2000 Comment on

From the opening 10 minutes of each film much can be learnt, understood about the characters, the themes and the location in which the film is set.
The initial opening impact at the start of the film gives us hints of the themes at which the play would be concerned with. From the opening credits, the film ‘Billy Elliot’ takes us into the mind and body of the eleven year old Billy Elliot (Jamie Bell), as he bounces in slow motion to the strains of T. ... This all somehow shows Billy vision, shows him in a mind of his own without him being conscience of the world around him, dreaming of what he wants to be. The slow motion creates a half reality effect by not running at normal speed, yet the music represents Billy’s mind by being played at a normal speed. As well as giving an idea to the theme of the play ‘Ballet’ it also gives a hint to what era the film is set in giving by the cloths that Billy is wearing – a bright yellow vest, and the bright, flowery wallpaper behind him. ...
Strangers on a train however use another clever camera technique. You see the taxi pull up to the train station. ... Then a close shot of the train tracks, with the train crossing tracks which discreetly indicated that the theme of the play is based on crossing paths. The feet again are shown, now on the train, finding seats, a crossed leg, hinting crossing paths again. ... While walking in the train station the music changes pace while switching between each character. ...
This is slightly different to Billy Elliot where the main character focused on nearly all of the time is Billy.
