Residential Segregation
Residential segregation is a big problem in the U.S. This problem is a difficult one to solve because it is so widespread. Almost every region of the U.S. has some amount of segregation. Segregation has effects on many aspects of life. One of the biggest effects is on educational opportunities. Children who live in inner city low-income housing are usually zoned for schools that have low budgets; the majority of these children are of African American or Hispanic decent.
