Remembered Event

Remembered Event "Cessna Niner Niner Bravo is at the end of runway one-eight preparing for takeoff," I called into the radio alerting any other aircraft in the area of my intent to take off. "Niner Niner Bravo is taking off on runway one-eight Town and Country." After waiting for a few seconds to see if there is any response from other aircraft in the area trying to use the same runway, I push in the throttle and listen to the engine rumble as it turns fast enough to provide thrust to move the airplane. I push down hard on the brakes to allow the engine time to reach full rpms without letting the plane move forward, shortening the amount of runway I had to get the plane in the sky. Once the engine reaches full speed, I release the brakes and the Cessna starts to move down the runway. Rolling down the runway, letting the plane build up airspeed, I can feel the sweat dripping down my back. Once the plane reaches about 80 knots, I gently pull back on the yoke. As I pull back on the yoke, I feel the front of the plane starting to lift up. After traveling about three quarters of the runway the plane lifts off the ground. The feeling of the rear landing gear leaving the ground is one of utmost awe. Leaving the ground in a machine that is the size of a car is breathtaking, especially when I am the one controlling it.
