essat on la jette (1963)
The director Chris Marker got his inspiration from Terry Gilliam’s “Twelve Monkeys” which is strangely wonderful film with many remarkable images . La jette in fact is almost totally composed of individual photo images , basically photographs with a sparse of narration. The story is set in the near future , where earth has barely survived due to a nuclear bomb, which has driven the human survivors to underground. There are those who subjugate others.
