Starting life in United States, I was bring a Japanese sense of values and Japanese culture. When I studied English as a second lungerge at University, I did not notice American sence of values and American culture. I was always thought Japanese way and I was always together with Japanese friend. After entering college , I began to notice American sence of values and culture. Many Japanese students came to the united states to study, but I think some Japanese students were always together Japanese. They make small group and they always communicated I. Japanese. if Japanese want to understand Americans, we should know about American individualism. in America, when Americans were young, their parents as school teacher teach individualism. so i think they tend to precious self-assertion. fro example, their fashion, i think their fashion are very personality. maybe i can not find people who wear the same clothes, because they want to stand out from other people.
