Executive summary This report considers the Royal Australian Navy to be an organisation and that one of the key aspects of the navy is decision-making. In the navy normally the higher authorities make decisions and then the lower level officers and cadets follow them. It is necessary for every individual in the navy to know what rational decision making is and its pattern. One of the important recommendations in decision-making is that all decisions are biased however unlike real life when at stake some of those decisions have to be taken and obeyed.
