Bernadette Boscacci was born in Bowen, July 1969, but moved to Townsville at a very early age. Bernadette was a print maker before she became a sculptor. Bernadette also draws, paints and performs. Bernadette started art at an early age and has continued on throughout her life letting nothing stand in her expressionate path. Bernadette has completed a seven-year art school course in print making and sculpting. Bernadette was introduced to sculpture when going to a sculpture exhibition for the first time and realising it was the missing link in her artistic life, Bernadette now expresses spiritual elements in her art. Bernadette is inspired by these elements around nature and the environment; she does this by using natural materials like wood, fibers and bones.
