Mac Beth Essay
Eminem’s song “Backstabber” relates to the character Mac Beth perfectly. The song is about murder, dishonesty, and criminals, which is the basis of Shakespeare’s, “Mac Beth” as well. Mac Beth is introduced being not only the Thane of Caldor, but also a brave soldier. Eminem’s song says “I took his butcher knife and jabbed it into his spleen Cut him at the seem then dragged the fella home”, which relates to the incidences earlier in the book which makes the audience, or the reader realize that Mac Beth is a brave solider. ... Before killing King Duncan, Mac Beth is extremely hesitant and experiences many hallucinations. The song hallucinates by “I followed the voice that led down a flight of steps, while Mac Beth does by seeing the sword pointing to the kings room.
