EEOC Claims Process Over the years we all have experienced some type of discrimination, in many cases there is nothing that can be done. ... When a person feels as though their employment rights have been violated and wish to file a claim, you must contact the local 706-agency or EEOC office in your area. A discrmination charge must be filed with the EEOC with in 180 days of the alleged violation along with the following information: · The complaining partys name and contact information; · The name and contact information of the respondent employer; · A short description of the alleged violation; and · The date(s) of the alleged violation(s). Once the claim has been filed with the local EEOC department an investigation will start to figure out whether or not rights have been violated.
