Therefore, this movie is a prime example of imagination and facts working together to create a believable story. An accurate event of the movie was when the volcano showed warnings of an eruption. The acidity level in the water rose, making the water fatal to drink. This makes sense, because the volcano in the movie was a cinder cone type, which are explosive.
