An Unforgettable Event
An Unforgettable Event Two years ago, when I was in Pakistan, it was my nineteenth birthday and my father gave me three train tickets to spend the vacation on a hill station with my two girl-cousins. At that time my eldest cousin was twenty-five. We were all very happy and kind of scared because that was the first experience of our lives to travel without our parents. We had to leave in the morning, so we started packing up. We were very excited and we could not sleep that night. In the morning, my father dropped us to the station. As Pakistan is an Islamic country and there are restrictions for everyone in every aspect of life, so they are separate compartments for men and women in the train, and they are not allowed to sit together n one compartment. We were sitting in the ladies compartment. The train left the station at 8:oo sharp. It was very cloudy. The compartment was completely packed. As it was our first time traveling alone and we were scared, we were sitting too close to each other. We enjoyed the beautiful scenes, rivers, farms, birds, and flowers. It was raining and it seemed like everything was singing. After a few hours we felt better and sat freely. We spent most of our time chatting, playing cards, enjoying the beauty of nature. It was really dark around ten and we felt sleepy, too, because we did not sleep last night.
