Personality
The decisions we make everyday about whom to be associated with can affect our lives in a dramatic way. The friends we surround ourselves with define things in our lives such as the lifestyles we choose, what we choose to participate in, and our personality. Some explanations will follow about different types of people and whom they choose as friends, if they choose anyone. There are some people in life who choose not to have close friends or any friends at all. The basic reason for this is that those people feel that friends or other acquaintances will only disappoint you and make your life more difficult. This is not an abnormal thought for most people (Black, Rick). This train of thought is usually found in people whom have been hurt by someone many times or even just one time that sticks in their head. The people who choose to have no friends do so because they only feel that they can trust themselves not to let them down, and this idea is such a part of their psyche that it rules the part of their lives involving other people.
