Her poetry reflects different stages in her life. You can detect her ups and downs, her depression, and the seemingly short-lived good times. A lot of her poetry conveys turmoil. A poem will start off with some very agitated situation and end up with her suggestions for a peaceful solution. A wide range of emotions is portrayed.
