I agree with ALEXANDER HAMILTON’s tenure appointment. “HE STATED THAT A periodic appointment would be fatal to their necessary independence”, therefore the appointment should be for life. My reasons as to why I agree with this are: the experience while on the bench will allow them to perfect their craft as a surgeon of a specific field would after years of surgery. Political influence should have no impact on a judges ruling because their main goal as justices would be to enforce the laws of the constitution. However he stated that one of the conditions for life long appointment would be a person character while serving. I think that character should be the final determination prior to appointment. Because character says a lot about a person. Take the case of Clarence Thomas verse Anita Hill. Regardless of the fact as to his guilt or innocent to the charges filed by Ms. Hill, his character will always come into question by the opposition when he is faced with cases of similar relevance.
