Skydiving
Skydiving Skydiving is an exciting activity which involves more than just exhilarating thrills. It involves Newton’s first law of physics. After jumping from a plane miles up in the air, the jumper quickly becomes aware that the earth below is exerting a force on him. In a rather dramatic way, the force of gravity, quickly accelerates the object downward towards the ground at 9.8 m/s/s. An object with no net force acting upon it moves at a constant velocity. That is Newton’s first law, it applies to the situation involving skydiving, the point which is also known as terminal velocity.
