It here is revealed Gatsby’s obsession with the color blue. ... ” Later in the novel there are two people talking about Gatsby and all the rumors being spread like how he killed a man, “One time he killed a man who had found out that he was nephew to Von Hindenburg, and second cousin to the devil” (Fitzgerald 65). ... Gatsby, a little while later, fully aware of the things being said about him wants to tell Nick who he really is, but while doing it, he seems to be lying about his past. ... Gatsby as shown in the above quote is a bit mysterious.
