Dropping the Legal Drinking Age

Dropping the legal drinking age As of now, the legal drinking age in Missouri is 21 years of age. I, on the other hand, think that the government should drop the legal drinking age to 18. There are many reasons as to why the government should drop the legal drinking age to 18, but I have found three main reasons that might just make you take my side. ... If 72% of teenagers already drink illegally, then why fight it and just make it legal for that 72% to buy alcohol. Obviously the government isn’t winning in the fight to keep teenagers from drinking, or the percentages wouldn’t be as high as they are. Maybe the government could slowly drop the age to 20 or even 19 just as first until things cool down then maybe lowering the legal age to 18.
