Shoshone Land Rights Reaction Paper After more than a hundred years, the Western Shoshone Indians and the United States government still debates for the 24 million of acres of Shoshone land to this day. It is what the Western Shoshone Indians believes to be the people’s land. Mary and Keri Dan and the rest of the Shoshone Indian community breed cattle which started 5 generations ago and lived simple believing that there is a circle of life which means that we lived and die and it goes around and around until the white settlers came in 1920.
