ABSTRACT This paper will deal with the issues surrounding Gender / Sex discrimination in our society today. Additionally, it will cover discrimination in the workplace, possibly when seeking employment, as well as day to day living. Gender Discrimination Webster’s dictionary defines discrimination as the process by which two stimuli differing in some aspect are responded to differently: differentiation. Many people suffer from discrimination on a daily basis. ... Some individuals are afflicted with discrimination with regards to religion, race, age, and gender. Gender discrimination, also known as sex discrimination can manifest itself in many forms. ... federal government has made several provisions to attempt at stopping various forms of discrimination beginning with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title VII and the FEHA are two of these regulations that serve the public to hinder possible gender discrimination. ...
