Mother Courage

Drama Review

Introduction:
On the 13th of March 2000 we, the fourth year class, have been to a production called Mother Courage which was performed in the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford. Nancy Meckler directed the play and the designer was Angela Davis. The company was called Shared Experience.
The play is about a woman, Mother Courage, who sells goods to warriors, and who loses her dearest children in the war. The set was in the 17th century, in the thirty years war.

Beneath the tower, the screen was rolled up to enable Mother Courage's and her children's cart to move in.
