Nordstrom he used his stake from the Alaskan gold rush to begin a small shoe store in Seattle, Washington . In 1928 , john Nordstrom sold his company to his two sons Evert and Elmer. Later in 1933 Loyd also a son of John Nordstrom joined the company . ... By 1971 the Nordstrom company had surpassed the 100 million dollar sales mark . In 1975 Nordstrom had expanded to Alaska and by 1988 it began to expand to the east coast. Now the Nordstrom company has locations in 27 states and still is planning to expand. Nordstrom also has 23 international Faconnable boutiques mostly located in eastern Europe. Nordstrom, is one of the nations leading fashion specialty retailers widely known for providing superior service and high quality, distinctive merchandise.
