Calicium
Calcium is the mineral in your body that makes up your bones and keeps them strong. Ninety-nine percent of the calcium in your body is stored in your bones and teeth. The remaining one- percent is in your blood and soft tissues, which is essential for life and health. Without this tiny one percent of calcium, your muscles would not contract correctly, your blood wouldn’t clot and your nerves wouldn’t carry messages. Two ways your body can get this essential one-percent of circulating calcium is from the calcium in your diet and from the calcium in your bone. It is mainly the calcium in your diet that spares, or protects, the calcium in your bones.
