It’s easy to see the similarities and distinctions between ancient Greek structures and modern structures. The Classical architecture style of ancient Greece has a profound influence on later forms of architecture. Even today we design public buildings in the classical manner which look back to the aesthetic idea from the ancient Greeks. The earliest monumental buildings in Greek architecture were the temples, with which the architecture of ancient Greece is generally associated, and they appear as clearly organized individual bodies. It was realized by the ancient Greeks, that the earliest temples were made of wood, and that the stone structures that succeeded them were masonry versions of timber originals.
