Why Bad Things Happen To Good People Many people wonder how an all knowing, all powerful and all loving God can exist in a world of some much pain and misery. These people always seem to ask the question of why bad things happen to good people. This question has had many unproven theories but never a solution, leaving many people lacking in the belief an all powerful God exists. ... Although, if these theories are correct many people do not see how God can take away the lives of so many innocent people. Howard Kushner tries to answer these questions of faith in his book, When Bad Things Happen To Good People. ... He also believes that these events that happen in every persons life has no meaning and is not a part of God’s master plan. ... To sum it up, Kushner believes in God and that God has given man the power to choose whether or not a certain life altering event is good or bad. I think that Kushner’s philosophy is completely incorrect, because ultimately man cannot choose whether or not an event is good or bad for themselves.
