Comparing Tones
An author’s tone is their attitude towards the subject and his audience. Tone is very important in a book that will make it fascinating and special. In T. H. White’s, The Once and Future King, he ridicules the idea of Lancelot being a hero. He scorned Lancelot’s physical deformities, such as his face. Lancelot is also ridiculed for his affair with Guenever. Even though Lancelot was involved in an affair, it is partly Guenevere’s fault because “it takes two to tango”.
