Introduction: Through the weeks ending February 28, March 14, and March 28, in phase five Biology class, at Jay High School, we constructed a greenhouse study that was a part of our ecosystem project. This greenhouse study was used as a representation of our ecosystem plot that shows growth activity that is similar to the growth in the soil at our site. ... We noticed that there wasn’t any predators in our ecosystem to kill off the growing plants. ... We wondered if this caused the plants to grow faster then they would if they were a part of the ecosystem in the woods. ... During this part of our Ecosystem study, we decided that we would check on our greenhouse every Friday in order to make systematic and regular observations. ... We could use this information to relate it to our ecosystem plot and about competition in ecosystems.
