Losing Isaiah What kind of mother would put her baby in the trash so that she can go off and get high on crack? ... I understand that drugs ruin people’s lives and when someone is on drugs they aren’t thinking rationally, but that’s still no excuse for what Khaila did to Isaiah. What Khaila did was criminal; she should have been put in prison for leaving Isaiah in the trash. I do believe in second chances, but in this case, I feel that Khaila doesn’t deserve a second chance with Isaiah. ... The best thing Khaila could have done for Isaiah is to stay out of his life. In my opinion, Isaiah shouldn’t have to deal with Khaila’s problems and lifestyle when he has so many problems of his own that are due to Khaila’s drug use when she was pregnant with him. ... Khaila realizes that she wants to be a mother to her son when she gets the news that Isaiah is still alive. Khaila wants Isaiah to know were he came from and know his black heritage. ... Khaila feels deceived that no one tried to contact her that Isaiah was alive or about his adoption when she was in jail.
