There are so many different stories and perceptions of the war that it is hard to believe that it actually happened. ... Viewed in many different ways, by many different people it’s amazing that while fighting the same war, they were fighting for different reasons. ... Vietnam became stronger fighting against the peoples near them to become liberated. ... This was all during the Cold War also. As the Cold War grew more severe, we thought that the communists of the Soviet Union were not a good thing for anyone.
