Before we can talk of the work of Herodotus it is important to understand what exactly history is. ... In fact it could be said that history is a constant processes of interaction of the facts collected and the historian who by definition is someone "who writes about or studies history" . Also when discussing a historian one must keep an open mind because it is possible to link history and fiction along side each other, however by definition Herodotus is definitely a historian, this can only be seen as true if what Herodotus wrote is more truth than fiction.
