Ways Reinforcement May Increase Positive Play and Social Interactions In the Early Childhood Classroom
Play and social interactions are extremely important for children, especially in the early grades of pre-k and kindergarten. Play provides an essential means for the establishment of friendships and the development of social knowledge, skills, and competence. Many children experience their first times being exposed to other children in a group setting, in these primary grades. Often times, it is hard for children to adapt to being in a social setting with many other children, and conflicts often arise among peers, especially at playtime.
