Conflict in "The Tell-Tale Heart"
Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" is a story written about conflict. The narrator emphasises the battle that is going on in his own mind.The narrator is constantly haunted by the unusual eye of an old man. The Tell-Tale Heart" is a great example of the intense struggle man against self.First, the eye haunts the narrator,"It is impossible to say how first the idea first entered my brain, but once conceived it haunted me day and nigh." The narrator does not feel that he is a madman, but that the eye has vexed him.
