Anne s Kindred Spirits

Anne Shirley has lived a lonely childhood as an orphan. A long search for a kindred spirit would soon become a reality when an elderly brother and sister adopted her. Anne’s idea of a kindred spirit is someone that she can relate to and feel a sense of belongingness too. Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert would eventually grow to become these kindred spirits that Anne has been deeply in search for. Anne’s relationship with Matthew started off very well from the beginning. ... Anne on the other hand is very talkative, and she also supplies a vivid imagination with her talkativeness. Matthew is content with Anne’s talkative ways, because this allows him to listen without providing much input to the conversation. This is how Matthew and Anne’s relationship grows from day to day. Throughout this book Anne messes up easy daily tasks, because she is imagining how she would like the day to be. Marilla sees this as a flaw in Anne, because of the strict ways she has.
