Margart Fuller
During the 19th century, Margaret Fuller used her thoughts and writings to help lead and inspire leaders of the women’s movement. Fuller was a well-educated woman and was driven by boundless intellectual curiosity. ... During 1839 to 1844, Fuller held a series of “conversations” which encouraged women to start thinking for themselves, to create their own ideas and feelings, rather to voice their opinion of their husband. These dialogues led Fuller to write one of her most important work in history, Women in the Nineteenth Century (1845). ... Throughout her short life, one of Fuller’s goals was to gain more knowledge and experience. Having a strong influence on generations of the female race, Fuller began begin fulfilling one of her own statements, “Very early, I knew that the only object in life was to grow. ... Fuller believed that individuals had unlimited capacities and that when people’s roles were defined only according to their sex, human development was severely limited.
